Wattmaster Controls

WattMaster Controls, Inc. was founded in 1977 by HVAC pioneer Frank Dean, Jr. Mr. Dean had originally developed cost-effective ways to deliver central air conditioning to existing hotels and office buildings soon after the end of World War II.

Dean’s work eventually evolved into electronic controls and remote electronic monitoring, which led to the founding of WattMaster Controls. WattMaster was created primarily to build electronic controllers for Tempmaster Corporation’s line of air distribution equipment and systems.

In 1988 Tempmaster was sold to York International Corporation and in 1992 York sold WattMaster to an employee, Mr. Michael Hobbs, current President and Co-Owner.

The company continued to expand its product lines to include energy management systems, and later, complete building automation systems. WattMaster controls gives costumers a menu-driven system that allows them to configure a wide variety of HVAC components to operate in the most efficient manner possible.

WattMaster Controls is continuing to grow and expand its product lines to meet the demand of the rapidly changing HVAC industry.
